Your quarterly credit card benefits checklist covers the credits that reset every three months or once a year. This one covers just August. These credits reset on the calendar month regardless of your account anniversary, and almost none of them roll over. Skip one in August, and it’s gone the moment September starts.

Our Take

August has no quarter-end and no year-end urgency, which is exactly why these monthly credits are the easiest ones to let slide this time of year. Pick your two or three highest-value cards from this list, use them before September 1, and set the same kind of reminder that already works for your quarterly benefits checklist.
