What to look out for

Once-Per-Lifetime Bonus Restriction

Amex's one-bonus-per-lifetime rule applies. If you received a Brilliant welcome bonus before, you may not be eligible again.

Monthly $25 Dining Credit

The $300 credit is $25/month, not a flexible annual lump sum. Months when you do not dine out result in lost credits.

Titanium Requires 75 Nights

25 elite night credits help but do not replace stay requirements. Titanium still requires meaningful actual stays.

Our take

The Brilliant is the right Marriott card for serious loyalists. Automatic Platinum status alone is worth thousands annually in breakfast, upgrades, and bonus points. The 85,000-point free night opens properties that are unaffordable with a 35,000-point certificate. If you stay at Marriott 10+ times a year, the math is compelling. See our full Marriott program analysis in our Marriott Bonvoy guide.
The 150,000-point welcome offer is not the highest the card has seen -- it has offered 200,000 points historically. We would recommend this offer if you need the card now, but consider waiting if timing permits. Marriott points at 0.8 cents value this bonus at approximately $1,200. See the Marriott program guide for redemption sweet spots.
