Hilton Honors American Express Aspire Card
The strongest Hilton card for loyalists who stay at Hilton resorts regularly. The $400 resort credit, a free night, and $200 flight credit nearly offset the $550 fee on their own. But you have to actually use both to come out ahead.
Pros & cons
- Automatic Diamond status delivers room upgrades, executive lounge access, and complimentary breakfast at select properties
- $400 resort credit plus $200 flight credit together nearly cover the $550 annual fee
- Annual free night certificate has no category cap and can be used at top-tier Hilton properties
- 14x points on Hilton spend is the highest earn rate across the entire Hilton card lineup
- CLEAR+ credit adds up to $209 in value most frequent flyers can realistically use
- $550 annual fee requires using multiple credits to justify year over year
- Resort credit applies only to direct purchases at participating Hilton resorts, not all Hilton hotels
- Flight credit is capped at $50 per quarter and cannot be combined into one larger charge
- Hilton points are worth less per point than transferable currencies like Chase Ultimate Rewards or Amex Membership Rewards

Benefits breakdown
The Aspire packs more recurring value into one card than almost any other hotel card. Every credit below is available annually with no spending threshold beyond the annual fee.
What to look out for
Resort credit scope is narrow
The $400 resort credit applies only to purchases made directly with participating Hilton resort properties. Standard Hilton hotels do not qualify. Check the participating resort list before booking.
Flight credit cannot be combined
Each $50 quarterly flight credit does not roll over to the next quarter. You need to make four separate eligible purchases across the year to capture the full $200.
Free night certificate timing
Certificates are issued 8 to 14 weeks after account opening or renewal. Plan ahead so the certificate does not expire before you can use it.
Second free night requires heavy spend
The second free night requires $30,000 in calendar-year purchases and the third requires $60,000. Most cardholders will receive only one free night annually.
