Bilt Rewards members can now earn Avios directly on rent, starting August 5, 2026. Bilt and Qatar announced that it is now possible to earn 3 Avios per dollar spent on rent when you use a Qatar credit card to pay rent through the Bilt app. No separate enrollment step exists. You just need the right card and a rent payment scheduled through Bilt.

This is a solid add for Qatar loyalists, but it doesn’t change the math for most renters. The 3% fee still does a lot of the talking here.

What the Avios Earning Change Covers

Bilt Members who hold an eligible Qatar Airways Privilege Club Credit Card can earn a total of 3 Avios per $1 spent on rent payments up to $50,000 per calendar year, processed through Bilt. That works out to a cap of 150,000 Avios a year. Like every other card-based rent option on Bilt, you’ll pay a 3% fee on your Qatar card to pay rent this way, and it’s only valid for rent payments, not mortgages.

Qatar joins a list that keeps growing. This adds another program to Bilt’s rent payment options, which already include Atmos Rewards, United MileagePlus, and Air France/KLM Flying Blue. Bilt is following where United and Alaska already went, and now Qatar gets the same treatment. You can track every current offer on our Bilt rent day offers tracker.

Which Cards Qualify

Only two cards unlock this rate. Eligible cards include the Qatar Airways Privilege Club Visa Signature Credit Card and the Qatar Airways Privilege Club Visa Infinite Credit Card, powered by Cardless. If you don’t hold one of those, you’re stuck with the general Bilt earning structure. Rent payments made via other Visa, Mastercard, or Discover cards earn 1 Bilt point per $2 spent, in addition to credit card rewards, with a 3% fee.

Flying Blue cardholders can also pay rent this way, but the exact earning rate hasn’t been published in this announcement. We’ll update once Bilt or Air France-KLM confirms it.

Our Take

This one’s for existing Qatar Privilege Club cardholders with rent to pay, full stop. Everyone else should skip the 3% fee and wait for a transfer bonus instead. It’s not worth opening a new card just to chase 3 Avios per dollar on rent. If you’re building out a broader points plan, our credit card strategy guide is a better place to start.
