World of Hyatt Business Credit Card
A strong business hotel card for Hyatt loyalists who want automatic Discoverist status and a $100 annual Hyatt credit at a reasonable fee. The flexible top-three category bonus makes it useful beyond hotel spend — but the $199 fee requires consistent Hyatt stays to justify.
Pros & cons
- Up to $100 annual Hyatt credit reduces the effective annual fee significantly
- Automatic Discoverist status for the authorizing officer plus 5 gifted statuses for employees
- 2x in top three spend categories auto-adjusts quarterly across eight eligible categories
- 5 qualifying night credits per $10,000 spent accelerates path to Globalist
- 10% bonus on point redemptions after $50,000 in annual card spend
- Employee cards at no additional cost
- No free night certificate unlike the personal World of Hyatt card
- $199 annual fee is more than double the personal card for a narrower benefit set
- Qualifying night credits are spend-gated at $10,000 per 5 nights — slower than the personal card's flat 5 credits
- 10% redemption bonus requires $50,000 in annual spend to unlock
- Discoverist status and qualifying night credits apply only to the authorizing officer, not employees

Benefits breakdown
The $100 annual Hyatt credit and automatic Discoverist status are the core recurring benefits. The qualifying night credits and redemption bonus reward heavier spenders.
What to look out for
No free night certificate
Unlike the personal World of Hyatt card, the business card does not include an annual free night certificate. The $100 Hyatt credit is the recurring benefit, not a stay.
Qualifying night credits require heavy spend
You earn 5 qualifying night credits for every $10,000 spent. To match the personal card's flat 5 credits per year, you need to spend $10,000. Each additional 5 credits requires another $10,000 in spend.
$100 Hyatt credit has transaction minimums
Each $50 credit requires a single qualifying Hyatt transaction of $50 or more. Split stays or smaller charges will not trigger the credit. You must trigger it twice per anniversary year to capture the full $100.
Status and credits are authorizing officer only
Discoverist status, qualifying night credits, and the 10% redemption bonus apply only to the primary authorizing officer. Employees earn points for the officer's account but do not receive status or credits.
