Avianca/LifeMiles has launched two new American Express cards with up to 100K bonus miles. These Avianca LifeMiles credit cards can be excellent if you plan to fly to South America or even Europe.

The normal card offers a 40,000 bonus miles after $3K spent in 3 months. This card comes with a $95 annual fee.

The Elite card offers 60,000 miles after spending $4.5K in 3 months and an additional 40K after spending $25K in the first year. Essentially, this bonus is worth 60,000 miles unless you have large expenses coming up. The elite card comes with a $249 annual fee.

We value LifeMiles at around 1.3 cents. You can buy LifeMiles at this price during their frequent points sale. With this valuation, these Avianca LifeMiles credit cards provide excellent value. The normal card bonus is worth $471, considering the annual fee. The Elite card bonus is worth $531, not counting the 40,000 miles.

There are some sweet spots in the LifeMiles award chart, such as 35K in business class to South America. We will cover these in a future post.
