Alaska Airlines’ Atmos Rewards has officially rolled out its August 2026 Global Getaways award sale, discounting economy redemptions by as much as 50% to nine international destinations. The offer is live now on alaskaair.com and runs through August 8, 2026. Note that some travel windows are far away – later this year or early next year.

Alongside the award sale, Alaska is running a points-buying promotion: from August 4–8, 2026, members who purchase Atmos points get a 100% bonus, effectively doubling the points they buy to put toward this month’s Global Getaways deals.
The Deal
This round of Global Getaways spans a wide mix of regions — Pacific islands, East Asia, Europe and Oceania — with one-way award pricing starting as low as 20,000 points. Here’s the full destination list and starting prices:

Note that Alaska’s booking windows differ by destination. The Fiji, Hong Kong, Budapest, Edinburgh and Madrid awards are all tied to January–February 2027 travel, while Sydney, Tahiti, Rome and Osaka open up as early as this month.
As always with Global Getaways, pricing applies to economy-class itineraries that originate or end in the United States, on flights operated by Alaska, Hawaiian, or one of Alaska’s global partners. The advertised starting prices reflect examples pulled from recent searches, so actual pricing will vary by specific route, travel date and seat availability — the usual caveat with any saver-level award sale.
Travelers can also tack on a free stopover: one enroute stopover of up to 14 days is permitted on eligible one-way international itineraries, and round-trip bookings allow two stopovers, one in each direction.
Fees to Expect
Taxes and carrier-imposed fees vary by itinerary. On flights operated directly by Alaska or Hawaiian, fees start at $5.60 per person each way. Itineraries that include a partner-operated segment can carry taxes and fees exceeding $100 per person each way, plus a separate $20 nonrefundable booking fee per person, each way. Lap infants cannot be booked on partner award tickets — travelers with infants will need to contact the partner airline directly.

- Select an award flight and complete the booking.
Award seats at these discounted levels are limited and allocated first-come, first-served, so travelers eyeing a specific date — especially the January/February 2027 window for Europe and Fiji/Hong Kong — should search sooner rather than later.
Our Take
With the booking window closing August 8, this is a short one. The Rome and Osaka awards are worth a close look for anyone with fall travel plans already taking shape, while the January 2027 destinations give plenty of lead time to plan a winter escape.
