Wyndham Rewards is running one of its bigger points sales of the year, with a bonus of up to 90% on purchased points through August 14, 2026.

Our piece on how Wyndham points saved a Super 8 stay shows the kind of redemption where a small top-up purchase pays off.

For background on how the program’s tiers and elite perks work day to day, our Wyndham Rewards program guide covers the full picture, and

That drops the price per point to as low as 0.68 cents, well below the usual 1.3 cents Wyndham charges before any bonus. If you have a redemption in mind and you’re short on points, this window is worth a look before it closes.

What the Promotion Covers

Between July 29 and August 14, 2026, Wyndham Rewards is offering a bonus on purchased points, with up to a 90% bonus that brings the price down to 0.68 cents per point. Not everyone gets the top rate. Other members are eligible for a bonus of up to 80% instead, though the highest bonus offer should kick in as long as you purchase at least 3,000 points in one transaction.

Once you buy, points post to your account within 72 hours. A purchase of 100,000 points with the 90% bonus adds 90,000 bonus points, for a total of 190,000 points at a subtotal of $1,300, which works out to that 0.68 cent rate.

Here’s how the current award chart breaks down, since that’s what determines whether buying points actually gets you anywhere.

Redemption TierPoints Per NightShare of Properties
Lower tier7,500About a third of properties
Standard tier15,000A majority of properties
Top tier30,000 or moreRemaining premium properties

That chart is about to change. Wyndham will move from a three-tier system to a four-tier one starting September 30, 2026, and the update represents a major devaluation for top properties, while some lower-end properties become more affordable. Buying and redeeming before the switch locks in today’s pricing.

Who Qualifies

The 90% bonus isn’t universal. Wyndham has not published a full breakdown of who lands in the 90% group versus the 80% group, so check your own account offer before assuming you got the top rate. The rule that does apply to everyone is the 3,000-point minimum purchase needed to trigger any bonus at all.

If you carry the Wyndham Earner Business Card, the checkout page flags a separate path for cardholders not paying with that card, suggesting pricing can differ by payment method. Wyndham hasn’t spelled out the exact terms of that distinction publicly, so don’t assume a discount without checking your own cart.

Our Take

This isn’t quite in line with the best offers Wyndham has run before. We have seen 100% bonus before.

But it’s still competitive, and it’s worth making a purchase only with a specific use in mind, since Wyndham Rewards points have become less valuable over time. The best case is someone a few thousand points short of a free night at a 7,500 or 15,000-point property, topping off before the September chart change.

The worst case is buying speculatively with no redemption planned. Wyndham points don’t hold value the way Marriott Bonvoy or Hilton Honors points do. If you don’t have a stay booked or planned, sitting on cash instead makes more sense than stockpiling points that could lose value in six weeks.
